The Women in Mining Russia Association awarded the winners of the "Talented Woman in the Mining Industry" award

On October 4, 2021, the Women in Mining Russia Association presented the Talented Woman in the Mining Industry award for the first time in Russia.

237 applications were received from beginners and experienced professionals from 24 companies. The winners were 63 finalists who achieved career success, high results in the work of enterprises, made a contribution to technological development and are a worthy example for colleagues. The jury consists of representatives of the largest companies in the extractive industry in Russia, as well as industry experts and professionals.

More than 200 guests gathered at the solemn ceremony, including the heads of the largest companies in the industry: Vitaly Nesis, CEO of Polymetal together with Anna Belova, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of AFK Sistema, presented the award in the nomination “Project of the Year”. Natalia Poppel, Adviser to the General Director for Sustainable Development at Severstal, and Vasily Chuboksarov, Director of the Department of the Russian Energy Agency, were awarded in the Social Project of the Year nomination.

Maria Vodkina, Mastermind of Women in Mining Russia, Director of Financial Control and Strategic Reporting at Polymetal and Kamilla Jalilova, Director of Women in Mining Russia, Head of the Key Accounts and Markets Program of the international consulting company, announced that Petropavlovsk Group has joined WIM Russia as a co-founder.
