The Third Eurasian Women's Forum was held in St. Petersburg on October 13–15, 2021.
The forum was held in a face-to-face format using modern digital technologies, which allowed a large number of participants to join the events remotely.
The Forum was attended by President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, Chairman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Valentina Matvienko, high-ranking officials and representatives of governments of different countries, heads of large Russian and foreign companies and banks, representatives of international organizations and associations, leading experts from among the representatives of science , media and business community.
The theme of EWF 2021 is “Women: a global mission in a new reality”.
The key event of the business program of the Third Eurasian Women’s Forum was the plenary session, which took place on October 14. The guests of the forum were welcomed by the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.
The agenda of the forum was sustainable development and ESG. One of the principles of sustainable development is gender equality and the provision of equal opportunities for women’s career development in industries with a “male” face.
Kamilla Zhalilova, Director of Women in Mining Russia, Head of Project Office for Key Accounts and Markets at Deloitte in the CIS, made a presentation at the session “Women’s associations and communities in working on the environmental and climate agenda” and at the business brunch “The role of women in the sustainable development of high-tech industries”.
Daria Goncharova, Sustainability Director of JSC Polymetal, Member of the Management Board of the WIM RU Association, spoke at the business brunch and 2 sessions: “The Role of Women in Solving Climate Problems” and “Global Corporate Responsibility for Women”.
